The perfect alliance between sports activities and respect for the environment
The environment has become a priority for many of us, with numerous initiatives being launched to align our needs with respect for nature.
We strive to provide environmentally friendly multisport fields: innovative city stadiums that promote the development of communities and particularly the inhabitants, while preserving nature.
The Agorespace city stadiums are versatile and fun sports facilities designed to meet the expectations of our clients, offering the opportunity to engage in 8 sports and a multitude of activities. We offer 5 ranges that suit all types of environments.
For several years we have been working to make our sports facilities environmentally friendly. To achieve this, we have considered the life cycle analysis of our multisport fields. LCA is an objective scientific method that quantifies the impacts of a product (or service) throughout its life.
1) Responsible material choices
The eco-friendly approach initiated by Agorespace over many years is evident in the choice of materials:
- A PVC - Hemp composite where the PVC is recycled and recyclable (produced in Normandy)
- Recycled and 100% recyclable aluminum, extruded in France
- Wood from PEFC forests: a supplier based in central France and wood from Scandinavia
- Turf: sand infill (and not rubber granules, which emit volatile organic compounds)
2) How is this reflected in practice?
We studied the life cycle of our fields in 2021
Concrete example on a field in the All Metal range:
- Reduction of "plate" mass by 417 kg less metal
- Reduction of "post" mass by 102 kg less metal
How do these studies translate in terms of environmental impacts?
- Human toxicity: - 40%
- Climate change: - 10%
- Mineral and metallic resources (raw materials): - 10%
Following the 2021 LCA, today all our ranges are eco-designed.
Agorespace fields have many advantages for the community. They promote social interactions, strengthen the social fabric, and create a sense of belonging. These spaces allow residents to gather, have fun, and build connections, which encourages sports engagement and contributes to a healthy lifestyle.
Eco-designed fields consider environmental impact. By installing this type of equipment, the community reduces its ecological footprint and promotes sustainable practices.
